RUVO Consulting is led by Rushka Tcholakova, MSW, a social sector strategist with 15+ years designing training, funding strategy, and program models that hold up in the real world.
I help organizations translate mission into practice through training people actually remember, program models that survive contact with reality, and funding strategies that hold up under pressure.
I'm Rushka Tcholakova, Principal of RUVO Consulting, LLC, a woman-owned social sector consultancy. Over 15+ years, I've worked across philanthropy, government, higher education, and national CDFIs, designing curricula, leading statewide training departments, and advising funders on how to deploy capital toward the outcomes they actually want.
My approach centers human-centered and trauma-informed design, community trust-building, and applied, interactive learning rather than passive instruction. I've led training for law enforcement, credit unions, city agencies, and community-based nonprofits alike, which means I know how to build something that works whether the room is a boardroom or a break room.
I currently serve as Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston–Downtown and have supported organizations including United Way of Greater Houston, LISC Houston, Inclusiv, ACCESS Harris County, NeighborWorks America, and the New York State Governor's Office.
Every engagement is designed around your people and your context, not a template pulled off a shelf.

Place-based initiatives and stakeholder engagement that build genuine trust across community members, agencies, and institutions.
Governance, HR policy, operating model, and systems support that helps organizations run the way their mission needs them to.
Practical frameworks for tracking impact and feeding it back into continuous quality improvement, not evaluation for its own sake.
